One of the advantages of Viewpoint over other tools used to capture the voice of young people is its use of ACASI (Audio-Computer Assisted Self-Interview). This means that all text – questions and responses, text added to the Notepad – can be spoken, using a range of languages, including regional English language accents.

Assistants (or avatars) can be used to make the questionnaires more engaging for children and young people.
